Optional analytics
Our full English and Japanese editions use Google Analytics 4 only after you select Allow analytics. Until then, our analytics code does not contact Google. Declining does not limit the guides. Overview pages and the language directory currently have no analytics tag.
If allowed, Google receives page visits, browser/device and connection information, and may store analytics cookies. We measure guide-finder use, print-button clicks, related/outbound link clicks, and the start and completion of the illustrated journey. We also measure Day Studio use and pocket-card download-button clicks, not the chosen mood, time or weather. Journey choices and search text are not sent. A download click does not prove that a file was saved. A click does not prove a print job, booking or purchase completed. Our custom events do not include form answers, names, email addresses or full outbound URLs. Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments; referral information is limited to the referring origin. Our tag disables advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals.
Your choice
Use Analytics settings at the bottom of a measured page to allow or decline. Your preference is saved locally for up to 180 days. If storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. Declining stops future measurement and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies; it does not delete information already sent to Google. Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 180 days without renewal on every visit.
Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Information may be processed outside your country.
Hosting and other sites
The hosting service may keep access/security logs including IP addresses and request times regardless of your choice. The guide finder runs locally; with permission, we measure its use, not your selections. External services have their own privacy practices. We have no account registration, payment checkout or newsletter form.
Your pocket card
Day Studio creates its card in your browser. It is not uploaded, and its choices reset on reload. Saving downloads a text file to your device.
